Individual Consultation – Book a Librarian
Book a Librarian is an additional service offer to our existing library instructional service “Fit for Study”. The Central Library’s Info Team offers individual consultation to its users by appointment To schedule an appointment with the information professionals contact: Central Information, Central Library, Bldg. 32, Phone: 205-3856, E-mail: info[at]ub.uni-kl.de or use the Registrationform.
Information and assistance are offered by the library staff at the Circulation and Information Desks as well as by the subject librarians in all Campus Libraries.
Information leaflets concerning the services offered by the University Library are available in all Campus Department Libraries as well as in the Central Library.
The University Library offers interested library users instructional sessions and workshops on the use of selected library services such as the DigiBib. These sessions/workshops take place at scheduled hours throughout the semester as well as upon request. See "Fit to Study" for information on the sessions being offered this semester.
Books and articles not available at the Kaiserslautern University Campus Libraries can be ordered from libraries worldwide through the Interlibrary Loan Service. Requests may be placed online through the Digibib (Digital Library). Transaction numbers (TANs) are required to submit a request and may be purchased at all Campus Libraries for a fee of € 1.50. Faculty members with cost center privileges may have the fee charged directly to their faculty cost center by using the transfer form. The TANs can then be sent directly to their desktop by e-mail.
Request orders are generally processed within a two to three week period, however delivery may take longer. The Library has no influence on the waiting period.
KLUB direct offers quick document delivery for a service charge of a minimum of € 6. Literature available in the Kaiserslautern University Library System may not be requested through the Interlibrary Loan Service.
