How do I request a book chapter through Interlibrary Loan?
Log into your DigiBib-account. Choose the tab "Inter-Library Loan", then "Books and Book Chapters" from the menu on the left. Enter a word or words from the book title or an ISBN into the search field, in this example "978-0-691-14720-8" and click the "Continue" button.
The search results from the various databases are sorted according to ISBN / ISSN and then arranged alphabetically by title. Select the item of interest, then choose "photocopy of section/chapter" by "Holdings available for ILL" and click "Select".
On the ILL order request form by "Article details" enter the title and author of the section /chapter you wish to receive as a copy as well as the pages on which it can be found.
Delivery is made to the library. If you like the library will notify you as soon as your order has been delivered and is available In this case please indicate whether you prefer to be notified by e-mail or mail. Delivery service is available for faculty members through the University mailing system. If you would like to take advantage of this service please indicate this on the order form and provide your University address following the ordering process.
Additional fees: Please note: In general supplier libraries charge a fee for photocopies exceeding 20 pages. Request orders may automatically be refused if the patron does not agree to accept the additional charges.
In the field "Purpose of the article to be delivered" please confirm that the requested section/chapter is needed for research purposes or personal use.
Note: In general the e-mail address provided on your library user registration form will be automatically entered into your request form. It is therefore very important that you report any changes to your personal data to the library immediately. (E-mail the library at zbausleihe(at)ub.uni-kl.de or stop by the library personally.)
To complete your request enter your TAN and click "Order".
"Vielen Dank fuer Ihre Bestellung" indicates that your request has been received and is being processed. You may use your TAN to check on the status of individual orders at any time by logging into your ILL account.
