Registration
Registration is only required for book lending and interlibrary loan orders. To get a library card you have to present a valid identity card or passport. Registration is chargeable and possible for everyone.
Special service: In order to avoid waiting time and to facilitate registration, the form (only in german) is available online.
Lockers
In the central library (building 32) you need a guest card to deposit your bags. Please ask our staff at the landing desk. In the department libraries you will receive a key for a locker upon request. In the University Library in Landau you need a padlock to use the lockers.
Baskets are provided in each library to transport your documents.
Location & opening times
The library is a decentralized system. It has got 9 locations on campus in Kaiserslautern and Landau.

Newspapers
The departmental library of social sciences offers a selection of german and international newspapers.
Information for students of the University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern
Students of the University of Applied Sciences can register for free in the UB in Kaiserslautern. After personal registration the student smart card of your institution will be activated as a library card. Please fill out the registration form (only in german) in advance.
You can also use your smart card in the central library for the use of the lockers.
To use our WiFi on campus, connect to the campus network of the RPTU via the network access eduroam using your university ID.
